Here's the thing, girls. You don't have to be action-y, or good with your fists. You can wear pink and glitter and a tiara - enjoying 'girly' things doesn't make you less tough, and kicking butt Trinity-style doesn't necessarily make you superior. But please stop portraying a relationship with Jesus as something one-sided. Yes, Jesus is your savior, just as much as he is your brother's. Becoming like Jesus takes persistence, determination. Sometimes the spiritual life requires blood, and sweat, and soul-wrenching tears, and hard work, and battle. And you need to train for those times, so when the battle comes to you, you'll be ready.
(And please, please stop taking verses out of context, pairing them with a photo of a woman in a field, and plastering them all over Pinterest. Just because the pronoun "she" is used doesn't mean the speaker is referring to a singular woman.)
